Frequently asked questions
Is a glass railing safe?
Yes. We use tempered laminated safety glass 8/1.52/8 mm - two tempered panes bonded with a safety interlayer. Tempered glass is many times stronger than regular glass, and if it breaks, the interlayer holds the fragments in place, so there are no sharp shards. It is the same type of glass used for windshields and glass facades.
What is the difference between transparent and grey glass?
Transparent glass gives maximum openness and an unobstructed view - ideal for balconies with a view. Grey (smoked) glass adds privacy and a more modern architectural look; the price per height for both tints is in the price list on this page.
How is the railing installed?
The aluminium channel is fixed to a concrete base (balcony edge, terrace or staircase), and the glass is inserted and secured in the channel - no vertical posts. We offer professional installation on request; the price depends on length and location.
When is it available?
The glass railing is made to order - production time is 60-70 days. Request a quote with your length, height and glass color and reserve your production slot.
